Like tapestry weaving and so many other forms of art precise technique is involved in printmaking. Etching, aquatint, lithography, photoengraving, linocut, wood engraving, and embossing among others are different printmaking techniques used to achieve varying printed results.
In my case I usually make monotypes since I apply different techniques to a plate in order to make a unique piece that will unite my work with fibers to their expression on paper. I intervene the work before printing using the technique of chine collé. The addition of colored papers or different materials transforms a print.
