Drawing and collage together with photography are the means I often use to sketch out ideas for weaving and printmaking. They are resources I also used when painting. I sometimes have conceptual ideas (many involving text) and drawing and collage allow me the freedom to explore them. I enjoy working with watercolors and pens (although not in the traditional sense), stamps and different materials to express myself. I love paper and have always valued it as a means to say what I wish to say both as a support and as a medium. The found image is exciting and the juxtaposition of found images together with drawing can be very effective. My love of color, images and words often finds a marvelous expressive outlet through drawing and collage.
